Trying to look cool in the taxi on the way to the bus station. It turned out to be a rather stressful journey, 7km through Hanoi's rush hour traffic. At one stage it took us 15 mins to advance a couple of hundred metres. I tried to get the taxi to stop so I could get a motorbike but he seemed to think we could make it. The only word he knew in English was "okay" which made things interesting.We eventually made it to the station with only seconds to spare. Of course the bus then ended up leaving 1 hour late.
This was the sleeper bus to Dien Bien Phu. buying sleeping tablets at the pharmacy was a sound investment.
